Massage is the manipulation of the soft tissues of the body including muscles, fascia, tendons, and ligaments.  This bodywork helps achieve proper drainage, relaxation and/or stimulation, and also to relieve tension or spasm in the tissues.

How do I know if my horse needs Massage?

Usually the sign will be a change in behavior that is not normal for your horse. The signs of muscles soreness or imbalance can include but are not limited to:

*Decreased coordination or balance

*Unwillingness to work

*Trouble bending in one direction

*Head tossing

*Not picking up the correct canter lead

*Bucking, rearing, or crow hopping

*Poor disposition or attitude

*Trouble jumping straight

*Sudden girth discomfort or being "cold backed"

As the owner, you know your horse best and will be able to tell when something is amiss with your equine partner.  Go with your instincts!
